Robust Methodology for the Conversion Process

I2C employs a robust methodology for the conversion process that has been proven efficient and workable at numerous client sites. I2C converts CADATACOM or DB2 databases into the appropriate SQL table and view definitions. The data is converted and cleaned during the migration. Programs and reports are converted to standard COBOL and Java. Panels are converted to the appropriate screen handler for the COBOL or Java that a client chooses to use. All converted code is indented and all comments are retained. I2C replaces the built in CA-IDEAL functions and replaces all FOR constructs with SQL calls.

Native CA-Datacom calls

Many sites have applications that access CA-DATACOM via COBOL or Java, PL/1 or Assembler routines via the DBNTRY interface module. I2C replaces the DBNTRY module within the existing applications to access other RDBMSs such as DB2, Oracle or Sybase.
